Hello everyone I think this is very late to ask but still wanted some opinions. So I loved writing from a very young age which also helped me to write poetry stuffs as well. So I used to post these on Wattpad and had great view was ranked #1 couple of times. But I never tried or thought of opening a blog. So I wanted to know if I open a blog and post my writings there. Will it be okay if share links in the CA ?even tho AO’s are less likely to check them.

Will be thankful for any kind of advice.

Hi! My situation is similar to yours and I had some of my poems published in a book, I decided to make a blog because it just collaborates it so that all my work that I’ve done for various places are all on the same website and the Admissions Officer only has to open one link as compared to three or four. Hope that helps!

A blog is a great externally visible portfolio that you can use to showcase your interest in this extracurricular pursuit. You can link the blog (or write out it's title and a brief description) in your Activities section, but it might be more meaningful to write an essay on the topic. This way, adcoms will be intrigued and better understand the effort you put in, and then the blog itself can be used as a resource for fact-checking should they choose to do so.
