LOR from Sophomore teacher?
Answered

I did the first 2 years of High School in HS No. 1 and the last 2 years at another HS, say HS No. 2. Can I still ask for a LOR from my sophomore teacher at HS 1? Will that be seen as a strong LOR as any other teacher from HS No.2?

Totally! You should ask the one who knows you very well. Will that be a former teacher or current, it doesn't really matter for admission. Even more, if you ask for a lor your current teacher just because they're current, they may not write a great lor, and THAT may affect your application.

Personally, I'd ask both. If you can submit more than one, then two will look more impressive. And secondly, if you can only submit one, then you can submit the better letter, whichever one that is. Good luck, hope this helps!
