How many community service hours should I aim for each year in high school? Do colleges look at the community service hours? What do colleges like community service work to be?

Community service is counted as a type of EC. For your number of hours, aim for at least 50-60 hours per year to show your commitment. Yes, colleges will look at your community service hours and I urge any who can to get service hours somewhere in their area. As long as you are volunteering for a cause that you believe in and you are committed to it, it doesn't matter what you volunteer for. However, if you start a volunteer/charity organization you will really set yourself apart from other applicants. Good luck, hope this helps!
