Admissions Advice

Should I apply ED to a school with my admission chance calculated as 26% (the one that collegevine marks)?

I'm afraid that I would be losing an opportunity to apply to a more likely school with early decision.

I would apply ED if I knew that the normal ED rate was less than 15%.

But if the normal ED rate was greater than 30%, it means that I don't have anything special in my narrative that distinguishes me from the pool.

You should research what the 2021 ED rates were for the schools you are interested in applying to.

Yes, but only if you know that you want to go to that university and that you won't change your mind. ED is different from EA in that if you are accepted you must go to that school. So, make sure that college is the one you want to spend four years at before you apply. Good luck, hope this helps.

Absolutely! You have a good chance of getting in, and you don't want to waste the opportunity by getting into an easier school ED.

Hope this helps!

26 is not that bad, you should give ED a try. It will increase your chances
