Will producing content online pad my application?

hi! if i produce meaningful content online, such as video essays on youtube or essays on current events on a personal website, do these count as extracurriculars? they are both things im interested in; they just both require a large amount of time and energy to cultivate, and i want to know if they will be worth it in terms of college applications.

thanks!

Producing online content will absolutely help your application. The larger the audience you're able to reach, the better, and colleges will definitely value the responsibility you took on in this pursuit. The only thing I would change would be to classify it as your Own Initiative, as it's not sponsored by your school. Good luck!
