I am a High School freshman and I have my PSAT tomorrow. I don't feel prepared for the PSAT at all and so my question is should I be worried about it?
No, you shouldn’t worry! Since you’re a freshman, you’re going to have the opportunity to take the PSAT later in high school, and eventually the SAT or ACT. Your freshman scores won’t be as influential as scores from later grades anyway, so you shouldn’t worry, even if the scores aren’t as good as you want them to be; you’ll have time to improve them. :)
Hi, as other people mentioned you don't need to be worried! The PSAT is just a practice SAT so it doesn't really mean anything especially as a freshman. Do your best as it can be helpful practice, but the score itself does not matter.
my freshman year PSAT was not as hard as it seems. i didn’t even study (although i got a good score), but in the long run, it doesn’t matter. it’s a practice-SAT, after all, getting you ready for the SAT when you’re ready to take it. you don’t need to study for this one necessarily, just try your best to gauge where you need to work. good luck !
Short answer: no
The PSAT isn't a big part of the admissions process, but it can help students get national merit Scholarships. My school had them recently too. I would give it my all and try my best, but in the end, scores like the SAT and ACT are the ones that really matter.
Good Luck
