My absolute top school in Fall 2020 Common Data Set had an average ACT range of 29-33. My best test was a 30 Math 29 Reading 27 English 28 Science 29 Composite. Im going to be going into a CompSci/Business field.
If it is 29-23 absolutely submit it; however, if it is 29-33 it may be more challenging to determine. Since I do not know the exact school I can't really help you. I would use Collegevine chancing to help you decide, but if the school's middle 50% is all above a 29 composite score I would not submit. (I have a composite 29 as well, good luck!)
You mean 29-33 right? I'm sure you looked already to see if you can find a 2020-2021 common data set or Class of 25' school profile with stats right?
If they have an ED or EA option, I would consider doing that and submitting your test scores. If not, I would still submit the 29 on the RD application.
Good luck.
Hi! I think if your school is test optional and you think you can really prove you are a good fit for the school through your essays and by showing stellar performance in math and science classes then you don't necessarily have to submit. Since you are in the average range, I don't think it hurts to submit, especially if this is a target school for you. If this is a reach school you'd want to be in the high end of average/above average (so, 32+)
