I'm currently a junior at an online private school and I have taken pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and consumer math. One of the schools I'm applying to, UMaine, requires Algebra II when applying. Their acceptance rate is near 100%, but, still, I won't be able to take this course.
I can't take Algebra II because it is incredibly difficult, more than in most public schools. I have had a GPA ranging from 3.5 - 4.0+ all throughout HS so far, and many of my classes are college-level, in case this helps in any way.
Thanks in advance!
Hi! I just checked UMaine's website and I think you may have misinterpreted this requirement. Do you plan on majoring in something like engineering? That was the only major where anything like Algebra II was mentioned, but I think it was more as an example of what they're looking for, rather than a "requirement." Here's the link I found. I hope this helps, good luck! :)
