Not getting the expected grades
Answered

Hello everyone!

International student here. I will be applying to US universities with expected grades. A little bit of background. I am doing A levels and you can sit in your A level exams in two sessions May-June and Oct- Nov. I am currently sitting the Oct Nov session but my exams are not going well. In my transcript , my expected grades are all As. Considering ill be joining university in fall (September) 2022 would universities let me improve my grades in the May June session as the results come out in August? I am really stressed out because I feel like Ill be getting Cs and Ds in my finals.

P.S. my extracurricular are really good.

Hey! That is absolutely fine :) just update them on your decision, as long as they know and they are aware that it is because of COVID it will be 100% okay!

You should email the university and ask, or ask your counselor. Most universities already give out acceptance letters by the spring before the fall semester for non-international students. For international students, every school has different deadlines. I would really check with the school and ask them since I don't know where you're applying to. Some colleges accept updated test scores after the deadlines. Also, don't be stressed out about scores, if you and whoever helped you expected you to get all A's then I don't think you're going to fail every exam. Good Luck!!
