Admissions Advice

Due to COVID-19, may schools are not requiring SAT scores.

I am a high school Junior (Class of 2021). Is it possible that it can be updated on the site to give more accurate chances especially for the Class of 2021 since most colleges even some of the ivies are not making SAT and ACT scores a requirement for the class of 2021.

From my understanding, test scores are still going to be factored into admissions just as much as they were before at colleges. Sure, you can still apply without a test score. But the standard for your ECs and essays would be higher at elite schools. At state schools a good GPA and good course rigor would probably have you level with most applicants. Test scores still mean a lot because of the altered or missing grades of this semester. Because GPA is now less reliable as a quantitative measure of academic ability, tests are the only other number colleges get. I'm not saying you automatically get rejected without a test score, but having one improves your chances, especially at elite schools.

Honestly do the the complicated formula what I’d do is google average sat/act score at insert school and use that score and just reinput it so sat/act is not factored really into the proceess.
