Admissions Advice

If I take a college class of high intensity, would it help more than an easy A college class?
Answered

For example, if I took Linear Algebra in highschool from the local community college, would it help more than taking a random film studies class? Thanks!

Certainly. Most colleges want to see that you challenged yourself with the most rigorous courses available to you. Coasting through high school or just taking fun electives is not a way to show them that you are well prepared to succeed in colleges. Your efforts and successes at hard classes take the risk out of guessing whether you will be a good fit for them academically.

Hope that helps.
