Passion Projects?

I've heard that passion projects are really helpful for admissions, and I would love to make a positive impact on my community. I am involved in a few extracurricular clubs and such (MUN, student government, MSA, affinity clubs), and I volunteer for political causes (canvassing, poll worker, etc). I'm a pretty good writer and I'm passionate about art (I take Art III). I want to do a passion project but I truly have no idea where to start. A lot of the resources I find online are super vague. I'm interested in majoring in political science or journalism, and eventually going to law school; what are some possible passion projects that would align with these interests? And how would I even go about making these a reality?

Thanks!! <3

Hi there @saturnsarah,

There are a ton of possible passion projects you could pursue with these interests :) You could start your own newspaper or publication, like a zine, or pursue an in-depth case study on a political topic. More ideas can be found on our blog - I've linked specific articles according to your interests below:

Political Science

Journalism

Self-driven Projects

Hope this helps!

I wonder if you could do something with your artwork for a nonprofit or organization that you care about.
