Can I include activities I had participated in before 9th grade?

I had to move to a new school right before 9th grade but I had to drop some of my old extracurriculars as the resources for them were not available in the new school. Some of these extracurriculars meant a lot to me, I had participated in them for years. So, what do you think? Should I mention these extracurriculars that I had to drop in my activities section?

I do not recommend including any activities from middle school except for national/international awards. Colleges do not consider these extracurriculars when reviewing your application. Hope this helps!
