Please how do my recommenders upload their letters of recommendation

Do they send letters specifically to the schools in question or do they just send one letter to Common app and then common app disseminates the letters?

Hello!

First of all, on your common app, you should go to Dashboard, and on every college you are applying to, click recommenders and FERPA. After that, you should invite your recommenders and counselor (by putting their name, mail, etc.). After this, common app will send them a mail that says that they should upload their letters of recommendation, if they already have an account, it’s just logging in and uploading it to you. If they not have an account, they have to create one, and then send you letters.

Good luck!

Hi! How this works is you add your person (whoever is writing the letter) as a recommender to your account. Then, (you can do this before or after they submit their letter), you can assign them to specific schools that you want their letter to go to. They only write one letter, and that is given to all of the schools. You can also change who this person is at any time after attaching them as long as you haven't formally submitted the application to the university. I hope that this helps! :)

your counsellor & reccomenders will upload their letters on commonapp via the counsellor/reccomender portal that will be activated after you invite them to your account. You can invite recommenders in "My Colleges -> Reccomenders and FERPA".
