Extended Georgetown Deadline?
Answered

I just saw an email from Georgetown University saying in light of COVID, they will gladly accept submission of the Georgetown Supplement through 11:59 ET on Friday, January 14th. Their typical rd deadline is the 10th. To confirm, this means it’s 100% ok for me to submit my application with essays and everything by the 14th rather than the 10th right? I don’t have any friends applying rd so I needed someone to ask lol

My DD got the same email, and she would like to confirm it as well, but I couldn’t find any information on GU’s website. My DD spoke with the high school counselor and the counselor said it was for the teacher's recommendations as well. But based on the wording of the letter, it should be for the student's supplement, too. Any thoughts, anyone? Thanks!

Apparently this is only for Counselor/Teacher recommendations. I can't find anything that states that they extended the deadline for applications.

I would err on the side of caution and stick to the January 10th, 2022 published deadline.

This is a late answer, but I hope it will help people in posterity! Yes, Georgetown extended the entire application deadline until January 14th. One of my consulting clients submitted their app on the 14th with no issues.
