hi, if I am taking 3 Higher IB and 3 standard IB courses, how do I register this in my profile that I am taking a more difficult course equivalent to AP? do I select from teh AP course list and indicate as well that the 3 Higher IB course is an Honours program?

The tiers in terms of rigor are Honors, then AP, then IB. I don't believe there is any way to differentiate between AP and IB courses on here. Definitely don't mark them as an honors program as that will only denote the class's credibility. No need to worry though as it will show up on your transcript and when you submit your test score.

Thx for replying! I thought IB Higher courses are college level credits and qualify at higher tier? Was asking because, I have tried to show the higher rigor in coursework of full IB with 3 Higher level courses and 3 standard and the system still shows that I’m “light” in coursework relative to others. Not sure how that works and if that gives me a false college chancing scores?

The way my school has it is AP and IB both earn you college credits but IB gives you a significant GPA boost (out of 6 instead of 5). I was saying that the website doesn't differentiate between the two. If it's three high-level IB courses and 3 low-level IB for just courses that might be the issue as it asks for the amount over the entirety of your time at high school. This would mean that if you take 6 IB classes every year then you should enter 24 as the total amount.

Additionally, putting the amount of total IB classes offered by your high school may improve your coursework. For example, taking 12 by the time you graduate but having the opportunity to take 13 looks better than if you took 12 but had the opportunity to take 20. Thanks so much for that comprehensive response. Basically the school is a full IB school and offers a large number of IB courses. The 6 courses are taken in Grade 11 and 12 are the max number of courses one can take. The decision to select these courses happen in Grade 10 and I have to stick to these for the two years. Btw, how is 6 IB classes every year = 24? Is it because Grade 9-12 x 6 courses each year?
