Hi, I am currently a senior in high school. I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, taking two concurrent credits classes. I already took two concurrent credit courses in my junior year. By the time I graduate, I will have 13 college credits. I plan to go to the College of Western Idaho to do my lower-level classes and then finish at Boise State University or a Catholic college. I will have to work full-time at my job with JCPenney. I plan to go to the Catholic Student Center at BSU, and I intend to major in nursing then enter the nursing program at BSU. But the nursing program there requires to keep/have a high GPA in all the pre-requisite courses to be accepted. I'm a pretty extroverted/social person by nature and would like to be involved in many activities while I'm young. But I think that may be impossible to do with going to classes and studying and having to work full-time on top of that. I don't know how I'll be able to do what I need to have the career I want after college if I won't be able to keep myself sane or happy while I'm in college.
Hey! The best thing I can tell you is to pick the most important activities to you and prioritize work, going to classes, and studying. If you really want to go into nursing, you need to put in the work and sometimes that means that you won't have much time to do anything else but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do these other things. It means that you should participate in activities that are flexible so that you can study and focus on your job and future career. I am currently in high school and also have trouble finding balance in my life as well. The best advice I can give you is to find out what works for you. I hope this helps!
