I've always wanted to do something within the medical field and the science world but I am a very social person and could never possibly imagine working in a lab. I discovered I want to be a pharmacist and many pharmacists have talked to me saying they majored in something that didn't have anything to do with being a pharmacist. I want to participate in a 6 year program but I've researched that it is competitive. I don't really know what my next step is...
I recommend majoring in what you are passionate about. If that happens to be pharmacology most of all, there are schools that will let you major in that. This CollegeVine article has more helpful tips about the next steps you can take to build a pharmacy career. Hope this helps!
I don't know anything about this admittedly but pharmacy itself is a major! Doesn't have to be what you choose of course. Does your school have a "future doctors"-type club you can join?
You can major in something that you want. If you're going to go to medical school, it doesn't really matter what you get a bachelor in. Majoring in sciences will help in getting into medical school, but majors like psychology and other humanities major can as well.
