I am currently in 9th grade planning to launch a Robotics club in my school before my junior year at last. I have known that beginners can learn C and C++. I have also researched about the Arduino board which is a basic toolkit to have. But can you give some suggestions about the club like which events to host and most importantly how could I take myself and my club from beginners to advanced level?
Hi @Rishabh! I am glad that you are interested in starting a Robotics club at your school - what a great idea! In terms of events to host, that is entirely up to you! Since you'll be spearheading the club, you can mold it however you'd like. For example, if you think students in the club would benefit from mentorship from engineering professionals in the community, you could host a speaker series where you invite professionals to come in and speak to everyone. Another idea is that if you are trying to raise money for supplies and robotics competitions, you could host fundraisers or try to get sponsored by a local company.
A huge part of robotics is building and taking your robot to competitions, so in order to take your club from the beginner to the advanced level, you will want to have to have strict deadlines for tasks in the club to keep everyone accountable so that you are working towards doing well in competitions.
