CA GOVERNOR signs emergency law to stall UC Berkeley lawsuit overturning the "STAY" on 2020 enrollement levels

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a new law overturning the STAY.

This gives UC Berkeley to right to accept a record amount of Regular Decision applicants regardless of the future havoc it causes.

Therefore US Berkeley admit rates will most likely surpass the 14.4% level from last year. Without this law, it was estimated the admit rate would drop to 8% this year. This is good news for all CV seniors waiting to hear from UCB. However, keep in mind that the housing, dining, support facilities are an ongoing mess. So think twice about accepting your offer.
