Hello, I was waitlisted for Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount University. I think this because I did not add some of my extracurriculars to these applications, as I was accepted into Fordham which had received my application with all my extracurriculars and these were all my target schools. The extracurriculars I didn't include were being a member of the World Culture Club, Poetry Club, Ukelele Club, Chuch, virtual church meetings, and reading my Bible. What I did include was that I was a Treasurer in the Mural Club, Creator of a Christian Club, Committee Chair in Leadership, and did research on my family history on websites like Ancestry. What should I do, do I tell them about the extracurriculars, will that make them think I was being unprofessional to forget something so crucial. Also please let me know if you have any advice on how to get accepted from a waitlist from Pepperdine and LMU in general. Thank you!
I think that you should tell the schools about your other extracurriculars. It would be professional to tell them if you write an update letter to do so. This CollegeVine blog post has an update letter template you can use along with more advice on how to get off the waitlist. Hope this helps!
