How can I prove preparation in physics?
Answered

Hi! So I am unable to take physics next year due to the IB Program's 2 year courses, but I do wish to have some academic preparation in physics for admissions. (I am applying as an economics major to ivies, duke, uva)

I plan to take AP Physics 1 online through Edx or Virtual Virginia and plan on taking the AP Physics 1 exam next year. Is there any other way to prove my preparation in physics in my academics or ec's?

Thanks so much!

i'm just a student, but considering you don't want to major in physics or science, and assuming you've taken other lab science courses, i think ap physics is fine! i'd instead focus on growing your ECs with something related to econ, maybe an internship or a course.

I would recommend taking a SAT Subject Test, but I heard that they are no longer offered. Not sure if that's true, but some standardized tests like that would show that your are proficient in physics.
