Although NW received a record 51554 applications vs 47174 last cycle, it admitted almost 400 more incoming freshman than last cycle.
Since they had a yield rate of 52% for the Class of 24 and a yield rate of 65% for the Class of 25, perhaps they overbooked the flight because they felt that something in the middle like 58.5% was the correct yield target. Who knows.
So far, besides Tulane, NW, Williams are the only schools in the Top 25 whose rates went up a blip. Everyone else is down as I predicted.
