Trying to pick the right engineering branch/degree

I am currently a high school Junior in NC. I grew up as a missionary kid and my experiences have led me to pursue humanitarian/missional work overseas. I really enjoy CAD and hands-on projects/experiments. I have mostly looked into civil engineering and mechanical engineering but want to narrow my search. If anyone knows of job opportunities or specific fields that I should look into that would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know about any summer engineering programs/camps in western NC or surrounding areas that would be great!
