There are many that you may find that you don't have to pay much or pay at all. I am not sure if you would prefer virtual programs or in-person programs. I am not sure what state you are in to help you with in-person programs.

One school that I know that gives free classes for high school students is the 'Academy of Art University.' You can choose what classes you want to take and it's free! Try your best to contact them ASAP.

The 'New York State Summer School of the Arts' also has a virtual summer program and to my knowledge, it is free. The 'City Art Lab' in New York also offers a free summer program that helps students build their portfolios.

Good luck! Hope this helped.

I would possibly cold email nearby art shops or artists and ask if they have any available programs or internships. If not check with your counselor about programs your school offers and you can also just google art internships.

Look in your area for life drawing sessions. Most can be pretty cheap, mine was $5-8 for 3 hour sessions (bring your own supplies though). Also knowledge of anatomy is invaluable for most portfolios.
