I'm currently taking - English 9 H, Geometry, Mandarin 1, Biology (as well as P.E. and Health)
10th - AP World History, English 10 H, Algebra II, AP Bio, Mandarin 2 (and P.E)
11th- AP US History, AP English Lang, Pre-calc, Mandarin 3, AP CSP, AP Seminar
12th- AP English Lit, AP Prim American Democracy, AP Calc BC, AP Research (and two required electives)
Yes, it does look realistic. I recommended this to someone else already, but I'll say it to you too. Don't take AP Bio without taking chemistry first. Chem is a prerequisite for AP Bio and it has been reported that people who don't take chem before AP Bio don't do so well on the exam, so you probably won't do so well in the class either. You can self study chemistry in the summer.
do more in 10th! should have taken a history in freshman year.
Yes, this plan seems realistic but still rigorous! The only suggestion I have is to maybe make one of your math classes in the future honors if your school offers it (ex: honors Pre-Calc or Honors Algebra II). I think it might help you succeed in AP Calc BC. It could also show colleges that you can improve upon your skills & challenge yourself. You could apply the same thinking to Mandarin (although I know that sometimes memorizing characters/character strokes as well as speaking can be difficult already in Mandarin :))
Hope this helps!
👍
yes this reflects my plan or what i did I'm now a junior!
I worry about 11th and 12th grade, I recommend only 2 AP classes a year. if you find 2 is really easy you can try three and if you find 3 easy you can try 4, but without knowing how you feel about 2, I would recommend only 2 AP classes a year.
To keep this community safe and supportive:
uh this isn' necessarily true I took Biomedical classes and PLTW Biomed and I am taking Biology before chem and as it is right now I am fairing well. I would tell you to really pay attention whilst taking Biology and try and make sure you don't leave a single concept of topic ununderstood when it comes to Biology I really loved it! So I am doing well in Ap Bio without taking chem from the class itself I don't think AP Bio needs Chem. Ap Bio really doesn't stem from Chemistry in terms of material
