Gpa

Is the core GPA or overall GPA used by colleges? This is because my core GPA(93) is way higher than my cumulative GPA(82.4).

I am planning to get this up going into my junior year. Taking a lot of rigorous courses with 8 APs and 7 Dual-Enrollments by the end of senior year.

Colleges will look at the overall GPA, yet some will look at certain aspects of that GPA.

For example, Stanford University will completely ignore your transcript from 9th grade. Other universities will have a general scale that the GPA will convert to, so while the cumulative GPA may not be as high as you want, colleges will sometimes scale it higher dependent on the classes you take and the year you took them. Work hard during junior year, and keep taking rigorous classes. Your GPA will work itself out by the time of applications.
