Hello! I'd recommend you check out this website: https://vsfs.state.gov/

These are virtual internships with the government, and while public relations isn't listed as a search filter, public affairs and human resources are, which might be what you're looking for. You need to create a USAJOBS account to apply for the positions in July, you find out if you were accepted in August, and the project officially starts in September. You are provided a mentor/advisor if chosen. The project would take place over your senior year, so I'd just make sure that coursework and EC's don't take up all of your time.

There are currently 36 different remote projects with different government agencies, like the CDC, Department of State etc.

Hi! I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I recently participated in Breakthru, a 12-week-long ambassador course! You get experience in sports marketing and get to be in direct contact with the CEO. Breakthru is a rising app, with a goal of providing high school athletes with a platform to share their highlights and connect with college coaches and their team.

Throughout this 12-week ambassador program, I have learned so much about what it is like to run a company in today's world. I was able to connect with students from all over the world to help develop the app and provide solutions to any problems we were facing. We worked to expand the platform and take advantage of social media to expand the app.

By completing various tasks, I was able to receive first-hand experience in the marketing world. I experimented on different platforms such as iMovie and Canva, and I learned the different benefits of social media campaigns. Through weekly ambassador meetings, I was able to connect with the CEO and get an inside look at what it is like to create and grow a company.

Overall, Breakthru gave me the opportunity to take my first steps into the world of business. I was not only able to grow my own idea of what marketing is like, but I was also able to connect with a community that fostered this learning and allowed me to grow as I learn more about the business world.
