Hi there,

I use a couple scholarship websites that are pretty legitimate:

Bold.org has a lot of scholarships. There are a lot of scholarships that are specific to certain states and majors, which is extremely helpful for winning scholarships. There's ones for women and LGBTQ+ communities as well. This website also has a lot of no-essay scholarships that you can apply for.

CollegeVine has a scholarship drawing that you can enter every week.

GoingMerry has a bunch of scholarships that you can do. I like that they have scholarship packages where you write one essay/make a video but it enters you in multiple scholarships using that scholarship essay/video.

I also use RaiseMe which is helpful for getting money for certain colleges based on your grades, tests, and extracurriculars. You just enter in what you've participated in/are participating in, and it automatically awards you money for particular colleges.

To win scholarships, you should apply for ones that are more specific to you. (Like a women in STEM or a first-generation student who is planning to become an educator). I recommend to apply for harder scholarships (like making a video or an essay) rather than only for no-essay scholarships. You also just to have to keep applying to scholarships.

I hope that this helps you! :)

I would also approach any organizations that you and your family may be affiliated with (for example, through employment). You would be surprised how many organizations give out scholarships. They will only be around 1 - 2K, but people may not know about these as much, so it is a tiny bit easier to win these. Also, collegeboard has a list of scholarship-giving organizations. These are worth more, but are also more competitive. I hope this helps!
