Due to everything that's going on in my country, I'm not sure I'll be able to take TOEFL atleast in nearest time. However, I think there's slight chance that I'll manage to do so (right now I'm safe, but soon I'll have to come back to territory which is constantly bombarded). But if not, will this ruin my chances totally?
I don't think home edition is an option since I don't have computer with me, and when I come back, because of constant sirens (don't want to get killed by a rocket and internet in basement is terrible), I won't be able to take it too.
Should I wait and see rn, or maybe ask all unis I apply to about my situation?
I would recommend trying any of the following solutions:
1. You could sign up to take the TOEFL or IELTS in-person at a testing center in a safe area.
2. You could rent or borrow a laptop from a public library to take the TOEFL online. Perhaps a friend or family member could let you borrow their computer too.
3. If you're unable to take the test for now, reaching out to universities would be a good idea. It's likely that they would let you apply without a TOEFL score, but would make you submit one before enrolling.
Hope this helps!
I would use the Duo Lingo App and use that and take the DET test because most top colleges including Ivy League accept the DET test (3000 colleges accept this).
It only takes 1 hour and you get your results in 2 days and costs less than the TOEFL.
Good luck.
