Admissions Advice
Answered

Hi!! I'm currently a junior. and I have a quick question-

recently (last semester) I took 5 college classes (dual enrollment) but unfortunately I failed 2 of those (which is stuck on my high school transcript). This brought my GPA down below 3.0 (I'm currently working on making it better), and I'm worried about how this will affect my chances of getting accepted into college. I do a lot of involvement within the school and community. I would like some advice and or how I could increase my chances.

~i want to go to ABAC (Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College) btw:) thanks!!

Your 2 Fs will remain on your HS transcript indefinitely unless you retake the classes and get a passing grade. If you do not want to retake them next year, perhaps you can talk with your HS counselor and ask them if you can take these classes over the summer before senior year starts.

I would also contact ABAC college admissions and explain to them your situation and ask them whether they would give you some leniency for failing 2 DE college courses or not. Perhaps they will, perhaps they would want you to retake them as well.

But it's always best to ask both your school and your intended college for advice moving forward.

Good luck.
