How to improve my chances for LACs?

Hi, I'm a current junior who is really passionate about the environment, chemistry and politics. I have around a 3.7ish GPA/30-33 ACT (I've only taken mocks so far and my school doesn't have an open gradebook/doesn't recalculate GPA until the end of the year). I will have 7 APs and 7 Honors classes by the end of my senior year.

I am involved in a variety of clubs, being the co-president of the community service club and VP of the business club (and hope to get a position on the environmental club). I also have very been involved with my religious community, being on the board of the youth activities group since freshman year. I also did an internship with the local government for a month before I became a freshman.

The only separating factor that I feel like I have is my science research (environmental chemistry related study), where I have researched in the same area for three years and am planning to do a related internship while I research over the summer. Besides the strong essay and recommendations, what can I do to make myself stand out to top LACs over the coming months before I apply, especially if my GPA and scores are maybe a little bit lower than the usual accepted student?
