Moving.....so what about recommendation letters?
Answered

So I might be moving my senior year and if that happens I have no idea what to do for rec letters, because I think that asking anyone at that point would just be awkward timing. Should I just contact my teachers from junior year at this school? I definitely have a good relationship with a lot of them, but I feel like that's weird to ask if I'm gone and they haven't talked to me in a while. Will they have less to say about me by then? I know that I could form good relationships with other teachers, too, but I just don't know if the few months I'll have to get to know them is enough.

Plan for the Disposal of Hazardous Materials: Properly dispose of any hazardous materials, such as cleaning supplies or paints, before the move, considering environmental regulations that may apply to auto-related substances in your car. new-york knox

Hi! So most people do get their recommendation letters from their junior year teachers since the school year is still fresh in their mind, so as long as you had the entire junior year with those teachers asking for a recommendation letter should be perfectly fine. You could talk to them before the school year ends so they're aware they need to write a letter for you. You should also tell them you will send them an email soon listing some qualities you have and how well you did in their class to make the letter easier to write for them. A website lists the things you need in a written request for a recom letter:

- A respectful and formal opening.

- A statement about the college/program that you are applying to.

- A clear request for the letter of recommendation.

- The reason you are asking this teacher in particular.

- Any pertinent details about yourself or the class.

- The due date for the letter.

- A polite salutation and closing.

Good luck!
