Summer Courses
Answered

Hi, my mother and I have been trying to find summer courses. I tried to apply for the ones offered at my school, but they only provide credit recovery. Does anyone know any free or cheap, yet credible online courses. I really need help!

there’s a website called outlier.com where you can take college classes through the University of Pittsburgh (I believe) for about $400 per class. They run 7-week and 14-week long depending on how rigorous you want to take them

You can also take free courses on coursera and EDx! If you want a certificate of completion for audit, I think there is a fee but it isn’t too bad (somewhere around $20-160)

I would reccomend looking at your local community college because those courses tend to be free to dual-enrollement students. Or in my experience look at other local high schools (mostly private or catholic schools) to see if they are offering the summer courses your intrested in. To do this look at their school website and find any tabs that say “summer” or “summer school”. They tend to accept students who don’t go to their schools. These do cost about $400. But for both make sure you send the transcript to your school registrar so it gets added to your transcript to calculate into your GPA.
