How is GPA calculated for college admissions?
Answered

My school does all year round classes so technically I have a 4.0 uw for all classes I’ve taken in Highschool. Meaning that I’ve always ended up with an A by the end of the year. However, first semester of biology I had a B+ and first semester Physics I had a B+

Is my grades for college looked at on a semester basis or end of year basis? My school doesn’t do semesterly classes

Colleges will see your transcript exactly how you get your report card reads each term. So if your school reports both 1st-semester grades and a 2nd-semester grade or a final grade, then the college will see all the grades reported.

When you self-report your grades in the Common App or Coalition App you will have to properly report them as accurately as possible. Then it is the job and responsibility of your HS counselor to corroborate your self-reported grades with the school's official transcript.

So if you incorrectly self-report your grades by changing a grade or omitting a grade, then that will be an obvious red flag to whoever is reading your application file and comparing it to the submitted transcript by your HS counselor.

I hope that fully answers your inquiry and you know how to proceed when you start your college applications.

Good luck
