Chances changes?

Did The chancing algorithm get updated?? All my chances are a lot different now and I didn’t change my profile.

How so did it change? by what standard??

Yes, the chancing engine was updated to reflect new more current information about admission rates, and other criteria. Also there are more input data points like whether you are applying ED/EA versus RD although I'm not sure that part has been rolled out yet.

I don't think the rollout is complete because there are output anomalies like super low or super high probabilities for certain schools. So I think for the time being take the % with a grain of salt and just know this is a work in progress. Eventually CV tech/programmers will get it right. It might take a while though.

Be patient.

The chancing engine had an update rolled out last week through to this week. Most people's chances dropped significantly for top-tier schools. Most of my most prestigious colleges chances dropped by 10%-20%. You can find more info here: https://www.collegevine.com/questions/29908/may-2022-chancing-updates
