Math Course Decision
Answered

Hi all! I'm deciding on the math course I want to take this fall for senior year. I maxed out my school back in sophomore year so I took Calc 3 last year at a local school and this year I was torn between taking Calc 4( deferential equations) or another stats course which should be interesting but also kind of easy. I am stuck bc while I do want to take Calc 4, I am slightly scared about getting a B or something and end up lowering my GPA. I got a B+ in Calc 3 with it being my first college course and a whirlwind of a year overall. What do you guys think? Should I go for it?

If you're strong in math (you must be if you maxed out your school) I'd say take whatever is hardest, so Calc 4. Make sure you balance your schedule though, so if you take all the most difficult classes at high school, maybe dial back on math.

Also: Don't worry about getting a B in it!!! You are going to look amazing to colleges in terms of course load simply because of being in such a hard math, and they don't expect you to get all A's with the classes you're taking. I say go for it!! Just make sure you're not loading up on every single hard class possible :)
