How many APs are good in sophomore year for ivy leagues?
Answered

I’m a rising sophomore choosing my classes (I currently have 1 AP and 2 honors classes) for the next year. Is this good enough for ivies such as Dartmouth/Columbia/Princeton? I know that there is more to APs in an application but I know that course rigor is taken into account.

Thanks for reading this, and have a good day!

For Sophomore year 1 AP would be fine, but try taking a few more like, AP comparative govt and AP American govt are 1 semester courses each. I would say try taking as many as possible while still being able to handle your workload. Just remember AP courses are not all that is required to get into ivy leagues! Good luck!

1-2 for sophomore year,

4-6 for junior year,

3-4 for senior year.

You want to end up with 8-12 APs
