I have completed 7 AP tests and am already enrolled in another online, but can only enter 6 courses in my profile. Since my state school accepts credit for up to 15 AP courses, I want to list all that I have completed. This would make my chancing simulator more accurate. How can I add more AP classes to my profile?
@Originalcyn1 Unfortunately the way CV set up the profile, there are only 6 AP test score inputs. Why? Who knows. Perhaps they felt that if you have 6 AP test scores and they are all 4s and 5s, that's about as good as it gets for most applicants.
You may disagree with this cutoff so I would contact CV directly and ask them to put it down as a profile enhancement in their next release of the CV profile. I think you can write them at info@collegevine.com
There is a place on the profile to include a numerical value for all the APs or IBs or honors classes and college classes you have taken, so you can put the number 7 there.
Most colleges and admissions officers care about your grades in the AP class and the total number of APs versus the test scores themselves. And I feel that if you submit 6 AP test scores on your CV Profile, even if you have 15 APs, that really will not make much of a difference to your acceptance probability.
I changed my APs completed section from 9 to 12 to 15 and it only made a 1% chancing difference to all the Ivys, Elites, or Top Liberal Arts colleges so I think that the weight of APs on the CV chancing engine is really not much.
Good luck. I wouldn't worry about this very much if you thinking about applying to State School. 8 APs for a state college is a very good number of APs to have.
