Is it possible to raise 2.5 to a 3.0 senior year?
Answered

I had a bad 3 years and it affected my grades I am now in my senior year with a 2.5 GPA I know I won't make it to a 3.0 but I was wondering if is it possible to go to a community college and raise my GPA then transfer to a 4 year later on with a major in computer science.

I agree, you will not be able to raise your 2.5 to 3.0. If you get all As, it will be 2.875 which is close.

Yes, of course you can go to CC and get good grades and transfer in as a CS major. When you start community college, you will be given a clean slate.

So good luck.

As @CameronBameron said below, it is possible to take a year or two at a CC and it'll give you a clean slate when it comes to grades. As long as you keep your grades up in CC courses, you should be good! Granted, I don't know which state you're in, but check if the 4-year institutions you want to apply to give priority consideration to CC transfers. Some institutions give priority consideration to transfer students, so look into that.

Good luck with senior year and your further education!
