On the common app one of the activties i'm trying to put is football but what should i describe or say in the area where it asks you too describe the activty and recognition i was gonna put i was a freshman and JV team captain but dont know what else to say and what should i say for the area where it says postion/ leadership description.

A really great thing you could do is describe how it impacted you, or even the team. What did you contribute to your team? You could describe the number of games you led or won, etc. Show colleges that you got that position and it made a difference in one way or another.
