Common App Question
Answered

How do we send in our high school transcript/teacher recommendations even though a college does not require it? I am applying to schools on the Common App.

Also, is it possible to get our official transcripts even though we have not graduated yet?

Usually, your teacher or guidance counselor will be responsible for submitting these (following an invitation to do so from you!).

For teacher recommendations, you can add their information online in the Common App and list which colleges you'd like them to submit to. This will send them a link to submit their letter. You'll receive a notification once they've done this. You can find detailed instructions here: https://appsupport.commonapp.org/applicantsupport/s/article/How-do-I-assign-my-recommenders

The same can be said for your transcripts. Per the Common App website: "If the counselor submits online, the transcript should be attached to your school forms. Otherwise, transcripts should be sent directly to the schools to which you are applying."
