Subject Tests
Answered

Hello!

I am a rising Junior in Texas.

I saw that CollegeBoard discontinued the SAT Subject Tests, and I had been interested in taking them as I felt that they would improve my chances in T20 schools. Are there any other noteworthy, trustable organizations that offer subject tests that colleges would appreciate seeing on my application?

Welcome to collegevine and congrats on your first post!

With CollegeBoard discontinuing the subject tests, colleges have also removed them from their requirements. As of right now, having taken subjects tests does not impact your chances of admission into a top 20 college as it would be unfair to students who don't have the opportunity to take them. This is why SAT subject tests never really played a big part in the admissions process.

The only thing similar to subject tests are AP exams but they also don't play a big part in the admission process.
