Should I take APES or an Environmental science course at a community college?

You can't go wrong with either one. I personally would go for the AP class, because it's externally assessed, giving college admissions officers an insight into your academic merit independent of the assessment style of your school/a community college, should you decide to hand in your AP exam result.

I'd go with APES mostly because it is easier to fit into a school schedule as it's already there. The only caveat: if you want to take another class and have it as an extra class, take the college class.
