Hello,
I am a junior at a public high school in Texas. While browsing the internet for college prep resources, I came across a test administered by Collegeboard named the CLEP Exams. Who are these for, who can take them, and do they help make one's application more competitive to selective schools?
Hey @AdithyaU06,
Basically, CLEP exams are exams you can take instead of a course to earn college credit. High school students, such as yourself, can take them, as well as college students and others people. And about your question about making yourself more competitive with CLEP exams, it surely does. Although it may not count for credits toward some colleges, such as Harvard I think, taking these exams will show these colleges that you are prepared for college and also sets you apart from the majority of people with similar other standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, AP, IB, etc.). Hope this helps!
