How can I stand out to universities?
Answered

I will be a junior in high school this year and want to study physics in college. Many of the top schools for this subject are very difficult to get into (M.I.T., Oxford, Harvard). I attend an IB school, giving me a very challenging course load. I have high PSAT scores and a perfect GPA. I have many club leadership positions. However, I worry this still won't be enough to stick out to the schools I want to apply to. What else can I do to stand out and seem like a good candidate?

The best thing you can do is write unique and creative essays that will stand out. I recommend modeling them off of these examples. Hope this helps!

Hi Marysia! I think your grades are very good but you need to get extracurricular activities. You won’t have a high chance of getting into a top school without good extracurricular activities. Good luck!
