Will colleges be able to see my senior GPA? I want to up my GPA through my senior year grades and I am confident I can. However, by applying as early action and studio-based major I am forced to submit my application by Nov 1. Does this mean colleges won't see my senior year grades?
Additionally, I am taking AP CSP and really want to put my score in as a part of the admissions decision. If it happens to be in my second semester I most likely won't be able to test for my scores until the end of the school year.
Is there any way I can make colleges see this coming year's scores as an early action applicant? Thanks
Hi @M1tsu,
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, if you apply for ED, EA, or SCREA, colleges will only see your 9th through 11th grades. You can share your class list for the senior year so they know what you are taking however you will get your acceptance decision by the middle of December which typically is before Fall Semester grades are posted.
Furthermore, you can not send in predictive grades either. So if you really need to improve your GPA, I would not recommend applying early to college. Also if your test scores, ECs, essays, recommendations, and anything else is not absolutely perfect, in most cases it's best to apply RD because you will need the extra time to show the best version of yourself to college admissions officers.
Where are you applying to EA and why are you applying Early Action to this school?
Thanks and good luck.

I'm applying to NCSU and as a studio-based major you must submit your application by Nov. 1, which overlaps with the early action. Additionally, I am in need of the maximum financial aid so applying early is most likely favorable. Other colleges I'm applying to include Duke and Chapel Hill, and their percentages seem much higher with EA/ED applicants.
