Should I mention ADHD if it hasn’t impacted my grades?
Answered

Hi. Should I mention that I have ADHD on my college apps, even though it hasn’t affected my life too much(in my opinion), I only do non-medical treatment(like meditation), and I still have a 4.0? I also am not sure I want to write an essay about it, because that would feel cheap and unearned in my opinion.

If it isn't relevant to your studies and doesn't fit naturally into one of your essays, you don't need to include it. Colleges aren't entitled to your medical history.

If it's something that begins to impact your studies once you've started college, you can reach out to the accommodations and accessibility office there.

totally get your worries! I'm in much the same boat haha. I'd say that if it seems like a natural thing to mention in an essay/personal statement/what have you, don't stray away, but don't feel pressured to write about it! Writing about it wouldn't be unearned, and some officers might appreciate how well you've done even with a learning disability, even if it doesn't feel like one haha :)
