What should visual art students who want to apply to top colleges do to increase their chances?
Answered

Hi, I am in 10th grade and want to study visual arts at top colleges with a %100 scholarship. I am an international student, so I know that I need to do a lot to achieve that. But, what should I do? Do you know of any international competitions, creative ideas, must-do things, etc? I would like to know these things that would increase my chance as an international art student. Thanks in advance!

100% scholarships are rare, so make sure to immerse yourself in as much as you can. Keep yours grades perfect, take art extracurriculars, and prove that you are skilled in it. Also, make sure to keep a portfolio.

Here are some ideas:

- Join/start art club

- Teach younger kids are skills

- Start a youtube channel showcasing your art

- National Art Honor Society

- Start a personal project involving art, such as a huge painting or something similar

- Paint a mural to brighten your community

Hope I helped, and good luck!!

The main way to increase your chances to top art schools is to build an exceptional portfolio. When it comes to full-ride scholarships, the best way to get one is to apply to colleges that grant financial aid to international students. Hope this helps!
