How much does the Common App Essay matter for USC if you have great grades, extracurriculars?
I was wondering how much emphasis is put on the Common App Essay if other parts of your application are relatively strong.

Your Common App essay will account for around 25% of your admissions decision. Since many applicants have great grades and extracurriculars, but few have exceptional Common App essays, a lot of acceptances and rejections come down to the essay. Hope this helps!
